Application Guidelines



All classes are by online application only and you will be contacted by email regarding the status of your application on or before the deadline for the class.

Students may only register for a course online through the Actors Tutorial Website. Below you will find the complete instructions on the application process - only complete applications will be considered. Please review our policies below beforecompleting your class application found here.

 

A completed application includes:

1. Class Application form fully completed
2. Photo and Resume


Photo and Resume:
A photo and Resume are required for most classes. You may also write a letter of introduction in the space provided on the application form should you want to make us aware of any additional information or comments on your objectives for signing up for a specific workshop. If you are applying for an Introductory Level workshop or one under 'Journeyman Next Generation' or 'Empowerment through the Arts' you are not expected to go to the expense of assembling a professional resume and picture. Simply write to us within the section provided with your comments on why you wish to take the course and some information about yourcurrent career/occupation and let us know if you have ever been involved in the arts. We would however appreciate a photo but it does not have to be of the regular professional actors quality.
If providing a photo/resume, a section is included on each application form to attach both. If you are having problems attaching your photo/resume, please contact us for further instruction. Note that only certain file formats are accepted. These formats include: .jpg,.gif,.jpeg,.pdf,.wpd,.doc. The document maximum file size is: 500pixels x 500pixels.

Full class fee:
Full class fee payment will be invoiced upon acceptance into each class. Payment will be made by PayPal only through The Actors Tutorial. If payment is not receive promptly, you may forfeit your spot in the course.

Submitting a completed application:
Deadlines are clearly marked within each class description.

Confirmation of registration:
Once your application has been submitted it will be reviewed by the instructor. After the course deadline date stated in the course description, you will be notified of the status of your application VIA email: If you have been accepted into the course, you will be invoiced for the full course fee VIA PayPal. You will also be informed of any materials and preparation that is required for your first class and where your class location will be unless otherwise stated in the class description.

 

Receipts
Your receipt to Actors Tutorial from payment thought PayPal for your course will be your receipt for any workshop that you take. Please keep for your files.

Withdrawal, Refund & Cancellation Policy:
Students may cancel their application without penalty anytime before they have been accepted and/or confirmed into a class. If you have confirmed with payment for a class and you have to cancel; you must do so within 2 business days prior to the start of the class. After this grace period we are not able to issue a refund. Any refunds will be issued VIAPayPal to the account in which funds originated from.

Class Application Form:
Now that you have read and understand the application process listed above, you may complete the application form found within each course description. Make note of the class you are applying for with the Class Number. When clicking the "Apply for this course now!" button, you are applying for the course in which you were most recently viewing. If you wish to apply for another (or different) class, please navigate to that class and select the apply button. ONE APPLICATION PER CLASS.
